Wastewater Treatment System Containing Hazardous Components - Water Reuse
Wastewater introduced into the wastewater treatment system includes the following components:
-
Industrial wastewater containing liquid waste with hazardous components from various discharge sources collected and transported to the plant by tanker trucks to the processing area.
-
Wastewater from the plant's operational processes containing hazardous components is also classified and treated for hazardous portions before being connected to the plant's wastewater treatment system.
In the processing area, wastewater containing various types of liquid waste with hazardous components and different pollution characteristics will be stored separately in 8 storage tanks, each with a capacity of 12 m3.
The input wastewater storage tanks are designed and constructed with reinforced concrete (BTCT), and their inner surfaces are treated with specialized chemicals to ensure durability when in direct contact with high-concentration pollutants in the collected wastewater.
After collecting a sufficient quantity of wastewater containing various types of hazardous liquid waste and storing it in the mentioned tanks, the technical staff will operate the hazardous component-containing wastewater treatment module (HTXLCL) to treat pollutants to meet the required standards before directing it to the plant's main wastewater treatment system for further processing.
Processing Capacity:
Q = 40 m3/day, divided into 2 modules, each with a capacity of Q1 = 20 m3/day (invested in 2012) and Module 2 with a capacity of Q2 = 20 m3/day (invested in 2016).
Composition and Characteristics of Wastewater Containing Hazardous Components:
The composition and characteristics of the wastewater entering the hazardous component-containing wastewater treatment module (HTXLCL) include the following:
-
Leakage water (if any) from the storage pit of hazardous industrial waste (containing inorganic pollutants, heavy metals).
-
Organic waste, wastewater with high concentrations of organic pollutants (COD), high total suspended solids (TSS).
-
Acidic or alkaline waste/wastewater.
-
Heavy metal-containing waste/wastewater, such as cyanide.
-
Oil-contaminated waste/wastewater, oil/water mixtures, organic substances used in adhesive production, water-based organic substances, etc., requiring treatment with wastewater treatment methods.
-
Other types of wastewater.
In addition to the wastewater generated from the plant's activities, the plant also collects and treats certain types of wastewater from external plants for processing. The hazardous component-containing wastewater treatment module (HTXLCL) is designed to treat wastewater from various industrial sectors as shown in Table 1.10.
