In the match against Myanmar, Coach Phan Thanh Hung was questioned about his lineup choices. It can be seen that the absence of midfielder Nguyen Sa and the rain just before the match disrupted Hung's tactical plan. Unfortunately, he had very limited opportunities to adjust during the match due to involuntary substitutions when Van Phong and Trong Hoang had to leave the field due to injuries. Meanwhile, Cong Vinh had a poor performance and had to yield his position to Quang Hai.

Due to these circumstances, Minh Duc felt under pressure, and Thanh Hung had to continue playing despite not fitting the situation. Furthermore, the decision to switch positions by Coach Phan Thanh Hung, moving Trong Hoang to the wing and pushing Thanh Luong to play as an attacking midfielder, brought reverse results as the Vietnamese team lost the ability to compete in the midfield and the right wing suffered greatly.

The unfavorable weather conditions ruined Coach Hung's plans, but in the match against the Philippines, this strategist appeared very confident in declaring that he would choose an attacking style of play. In the first goal conceded against Thailand three days ago, which Coach Hung followed directly on the pitch, Philippines showed a clear weakness in their defense, easily disrupted by high-speed counterattacks on Thailand's wings. Philippines lacked the ability to maintain their formation, play effective pressing like Myanmar, helping Hung's midfield talents to maximize their impact, especially in the attacking phase. However, to ensure a favorable outcome for the Vietnamese team, Coach Phan's strategy will need a Plan B in case of continued rain at Rajamangala tonight.

Not only Coach Phan Thanh Hung wants to "correct mistakes," many Vietnamese players also have their own motivation to forget their past performances in the match against the Philippines. Hong Tien, Dinh Dong - those who were involuntary substitutes, want to prove their abilities. Minh Duc, Thanh Hung, or Cong Vinh all want to make amends. These may be the pillars for the Vietnamese team's triumphant match this afternoon.
